Husavik has just, in three years, become the whale-watching
town of Iceland And one of Europe's greatest whale watching destinations.
The last three years whales have been spotted in 99,7% of all tours and
the Species of cetaceans seen these last three years include Blue whales,
Fin Whales, Humpback whales, Northern bottlenose whales, Mink whales, White
beaked Dolphins and Harbour Porpoises. Husavik is truly an
environmental friendly town. All houses are heated with geothermal water.
The industry uses the geothermal water for heating or drying their products,
rather than using polluting oil or Coals. The picture is of the church of
Husavik, one of the prettiest church in Iceland.
